***I have been posting my Craig stuff amongst the noise over on the ABC boards, but I hate for there to be no recent Craig stuff going into the final
episode.***
Watching back through the recap episode last night, I noticed something that I believe is another strong Craig clue. At the beginning, during the initial
narration Jon concludes with:
"We retrace the Mole's first five weeks of deception, and reveal secret footage never before seen by the public... with new clues offering a master blueprint to the identity of the Mole. They came to solve the mystery; can you figure it out? Who is the Mole?"
When Jon says "...can you figure it out?" we see the footage of the flames running along the ground and setting the table of journals ablaze. Nearly 45 minutes later, during the journal-burning scene in the recap we hear a quick laugh from Craig (who, of course, isn't there) when the journals go up in flames. I heard the laugh the first time I watched, but didn't connect the little clue in the narration.
Something else I noticed that I have never picked up on before shows up during the regular intro shown every week. The player's shadowy figures are shown in various poses around a plaza in Santiago (the one with Craig's ambulance frequently appearing in the background) and their figures occasionally "break up" with static or intereference. Watch it again and listen carefully, you will see that Craig's quick scene talking on a two-way radio is the only one where the "intereference" is also accompanied by the crackling sound of static.
Craig has several new scenes in the recap:
1. "Craig was busy making quick friends" with the steamroller.
All you really need to know about the final three you can observe in this first segment of the recap. Mark: watching, thinking, analyzing, aligning with players, suspects Craig right away. Nicole: flies off the handle after she is assigned to sleep outside: "I'm not sleeping out-#!&%ing-side, in the #!%@ing 40 degrees. Abso-#!%&-lutley not! I don't have to do anything but stay black and die." And Craig: a little nervous, joking, laughing, playing, making friends.
2. "Paul you're bad, and it shows through like a black slip on a bride. This game's coming down to good versus evil, and I really hope the bad people leave soon." Why, Craig, are planning on staying a while?
3. Craig's unseen confessional footage during When Pigs Fly sounds Mole appropriate: "My strategy mostly is going to be: let other people do all the work so they can make the money for me to take home later. Physically I might not have as much stamina, but mentally I might. I think I will be underestimated and I think what other people will see as a limitation for me, I'm going to reverse and use a strength."
Watch this show again if you get the chance with an eye for the final three. See what comes through in editing.
***I'll take the season's edit, the Ep 6 widget clue, and this http://abc.go.com/primetime/themole/index?pn=mb&cat=103544&tid=413945
(see post 12 for pics) and rest my case for Craig being the Mole.
